Foundation
Crispi’s philosophy originated in 1979, when Dr. Claudio Crispi began to practice his profession. As a scholar and visionary, he saw in the minimally invasive techniques a promising solution for the surgical treatment of his patients.
Only later in 1995, having already reached his professional maturity he decided to dedicate himself to the teaching of laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, and founded the Francesco Viscomi Study and Research Center for this purpose.
The two aspects: medical and didactic, which occurred for almost 20 years in parallel, merged in 2015 with the official creation of Crispi Institute, now based in Rio de Janeiro.

Technology
With large hospitals and the most modern technologies in their procedures, including robots, Crispi Institute uses a minimally invasive philosophy as a method, offering patients an excellent aesthetic effect and a quick recovery.

Multidisciplinary team
But none of this would be possible without highly trained professionals. Therefore general surgeons, coloproctologists, gynecologists, urologists, nurses, psychologists, physiotherapists, clinicians and anesthesiologists led by Dr. Cláudio Crispi form one of the best and most complete multidisciplinary teams in the country.

Expertise at the service of teaching
And that's not all! Always concerned with the service’s quality, this team is at the forefront of publications and Gynecological Endoscopy Treatises that are world references in the subject today. Besides an intense work of qualifying surgeons in one of the most traditional and renowned Training Complexes in Minimally Invasive Surgeries in Latin America.
